Jack Sears Trophy regulations changed for 2014

The regulations for the Jack Sears Trophy have been changed ahead of the 2014 British Touring Car Championship season.

As the S2000 class has been abandoned, for which the trophy was created, the trophy will instead award the independent driver gaining most places during the season.

The start and finishing positions of all independent drivers will be logged by the championship organisers during the season and the driver with the highest number of gained positions will be the Jack Sears Trophy champion.

While Lea Wood won the 2013 Jack Sears Trophy, Dan Welch would have won it should the new regulations have been introduced for this year.
