Thed Björk beats lap record in Solvalla Test 1

Thed Björk was 1.3 seconds faster than the fastest ever lap time recorded at Solvalla in the first STCC test session. Lap times overall were faster compared to last year and Fredrik Ekblom made it a Volvo 1-2, 0.248 seconds behind team mate Björk in second position.

BMW driver Fredrik Larsson was third fastest, 0.352 seconds behind, with Kia driver Linus Ohlsson fourth fastest, just 0.010 seconds behind.

Philip Forsman was second best BMW Dealer Team WestCoast Racing driver in fifth position ahead of the top Team Tidö driver Richard Göransson.

Mattias Andersson claimed position seven for Dacia Dealer Team ahead of Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte in eighth position. The Volvo driver touched the wall at the very end of the session and had to pit with light front-end damage.

Fastest of the newcomers was Daniel Haglöf in ninth position ahead of Emma Kimiläinen and Jan ”Flash” Nilsson.
