Johan Kristoffersson fastest in first Mantorp test

Johan Kristoffersson took command of the first STCC test on the short version of Mantorp Park, being close to three tenths faster than last race winner Richard Göransson.

The SEAT driver lapped the circuit in 47.295 and was 0.248 seconds faster than Polestar Cyan Racing driver Göransson, with championship leader Robert Dahlgren in third position a further 0.088 seconds adrift.

STCC newcomer and former F1 test driver Björn Wirdheim showed promising form by claiming the fourth fastest time, 0.483 seconds from Kristoffersson.

Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte claimed the fifth fastest time and was the final driver within one second from the best time for Polestar Cyan Racing.

Daniel Haglöf, the only other SEAT driver than Kristoffersson as Emma Kimiläinen misses the race due to damage from crashes in the season opener, was sixth fastest ahead of Dacia Dealer Team’s Mattias Andersson in seventh.

There was one yellow flag period during the session as Linus Ohlsson’s new Nissan stopped on track after just three laps.

Another driver with technical issues was Ford driver Rasmus Mårthen who was unable to set a lap time.
