Johan Kristoffersson dominates first Alastaro race to KMS triple win

Johan Kristoffersson confirmed his domination of the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship weekend in Finland by winning the first race by close to 15 seconds, with team-mates Fredrik Blomstedt and Fredrik Ekblom making it a Kristoffersson Motorsport 1-2-3.

”Amazing. The start was ok but I got oversteer into the first corner and Robert (Dahlgren) got on the inside, but he left plenty of room,” said Kristoffersson.

Blomstedt fought hard to secure second place, just as three-time STCC champion fought his way from eighth on the grid to third, claiming his 100th STCC podium finish.

Championship leader Dahlgren crossed the line in fourth position, with Brink Motorsport driver Micke Ohlsson taking his best result so far this year with fifth, with team-mate Tobias Brink in seventh ahead of Micke Kågered Racing driver Andreas Ahlberg in sixth.

Lestrup Racing Team driver Albin Wärnelöv was involved in the podium fight but clashed with Dahlgren and dropped down the order with radiator problems, ultimately being excluded from the race for the contact with Dahlgren.

Daniel Haglöf of PWR Racing rounded off the top eight, over 21 seconds from race-winner Kristoffersson.
