Quotes prior to the race
Tony D’Alberto – Rod Nash Racing
“It’s quite a short lap but it’s always very close times there with the field spread by less than a second,” D’Alberto said, “The track produces really good racing so it’s going to be exciting.”
Garth Tander – #1 Toll Holden Racing Team Holden Commodore VE
“I didn’t have a lot of confidence at the start, but we kept chipping away and the car got better and we had a good session. I didn’t want to risk the car early, so we weren’t going to push on hard then anyway. Once we made some setup changes and the car was good we started to push on and we were in the top five. There’s no doubt the track’s bumpy, but that’s not a criticism. As with all street circuits, qualifying up the front is most important. We need to make sure our car is better for tomorrow as everyone will be making changes tonight.”
