FPR take the front row at Hidden Valley

The Ford Performance Racing duo of Mark Winterbottom and Steven Richards locked out the rest at Hidden Valley for the next round of the V8 Supercar Series this weekend.
Even though they line-up first and second, the top 26 cars were covered by just one second!

Mark Winterbottom continued his brilliant form by clinching pole position for the next round of the V8 Supercars with a time of 1:09.9646. Amazingly Tony ‘Alberto in his Rod Nash Racing Holden Commodore Rod Nash Racing Commodere VE was only 0.8515 behind, 25 places behind!

Winterbottoms FPR teammate Steven Richards was just 0.0111 behind in second place with another Ford of Jamie Whincup in his Team Vodafone Falcon making the top three.

The best placed Holden was Garth Tander in his works Toll HSV Commodore a mere 0.1330 of the pole time.

Craig Lowndes put his Falcon on the second row alongside Tander to make 888 and FPR the only Ford teams to have both drivers in the top ten.

The next three places were taken by Commodores of Jason Richards, who suprised many at his performance in his Sprint Gas Racing car, Russell Ingall continuing his form from the last round at Sandown Park and the number 33 car of Lee Holdsworth, still only 3 tenths of a second behind Winterbottom.

The top ten was completed by Will Davison in his Jim Beam Racing Falcon and ex-multiple champion Mark Skaife.
