Gianni Morbidelli joins V8 Supercars

Legendary touring car racer Gianni Morbidelli is going to take part in the V8 Supercars race Gold Coast SuperCarnivale this season according to eNews. The Italian is going to race for Triple F Racing, sharing car with Dean Fiore.

Morbidelli was present during the V8SC race at Bahrain and was impressed by the series.

“I was watching the series and I thought it was very good. I have seen every category, from Formula 1, to Sportscars to Touring Cars. I was very impressed. The series was very nice – the level of organisation, the level of drivers, the level of the cars,” said Morbidelli to eNews.

Morbidelli is taking part full time for ROAL Motorsport in the Italian Superstars series this year, driving a BMW M3.
