Tander scoops pole for Hamilton’s second round

Tander scoops pole position for race 8 of the V8 Supercars championship.

Garth Tander said:
“We didn’t get much of a run at the start of that session and there was some oil down so I was a bit worried that we weren’t going to get a time in at the end but we got one in right when we needed to and it was good enough to get pole so I was really happy with that.”

Yesterday’s race winner, Jamie Whincup will start second – whilst Fujitsu Racing’s Michael Caruso again qualifies well, this time in third place.

Holden have the car to beat, the top Ford is the Jim Beam Racing car of James Courtney, whilst the top local driver is SP Tools Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen, starting 12th.
