Audette takes race two at Mosport

Mathieu Audette won the second race at the second race meeting of the year of the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship.

Audette, who had started from pole yesterday, but lost the lead mid-race to the Lombardi Honda Civic of Nick Wittmer, started from second and took the lead on lap five to return the favour.

Dave Ciekiewicz also managed to move ahead, bringing his Subaru Impreza into 2nd place, dropping Wittmer to the final place on the Super Touring podium.

In the Touring class, Honda Civic’s swept the podium, with the Durabond/Compass 360 Racing car of Karl Thomson taking his first series win, with the M&S Racing car of Tom Kwok second.

Durabound/C360R team mate Anthony Rapone was third in class.

Nick Wittmer now leads the championship with 477 points, from Mathieu Audette with 462, and Ciekiewicz in third on 442.

In the Touring class, Anthony Rapone stretches his lead over PJ Groenke, now leading the class with 470 points.
