Wittmer wins ICAR race one to close on title

Nick Wittmer won the first race at the ICAR circuit in Quebec to close in on his second championship, with only Dave Ciekiewicz’s Subaru able to stop him.

Wittmer now has an 86 point lead of Ciekiewicz going on the final race of the season, and as the Lombardi Honda racing driver will be starting on pole position, is well placed to wrap up his second championship title on Sunday.

In the Touring Class, Anthony Rapone secured the Touring Class championship finishing in third in the Durabond/Compass 360 Racing Honda, behind Michael Sallanbach in 2nd, with team mate Karl Thomson winning the class.
