Wittmer wins again in red flag shortened race

Nick Wittmer has taken his third win of the season at the ICAR circuit in Quebec.

Wittmer took the lead from the start, and held on for the 13 lap event, beating Eric Hochgeschurz’s 8Legs Racing BMW to the line, with Matthieu Audette completing the podium.

In the Touring Class, Durabond/C360 Racing took another 1-2, this time with Karl Thomson leading team mate Anthony Rapone.

The race was shortened due to an incident involving Gary Kwok’s Mitsubishi EVO. Whilst racing onto the front straight, Kwok hit the outside wall and flipped the car onto it’s roof. The driver was rescued unhurt from the rec, but with four minutes remaining of the race, the chequered flag was called early.
