Radermecker sets BTCS lap record at Spa

Vincent Radermecker has claimed pole position for the first race this weekend of the BTCS championship at Spa, with Renault’s Frédéric Bouvy taking pole for race two.

Radermecker, at the helm of the Volvo S60 set the fastest time of both sessions of 2.26.770, outqualifying the second placed Renault Mégane of the Delahaye Racing team by almost 9/10ths of a second.

In the qualifying session for the second race, the Delahaye Renault claimed pole, as the Volvo was only able to manage the third fastest time. They will be split by the Wauters brothers, who qualified in second.

The KS Motorsport BMW M3 of Steve Vanbellingen and Harry Stoeltie, which snatched race victory in the dying moments last time out at Spa, has qualified 5th and 4th respectively for this weekends races.
