Sougnez & Kelders take victory in race two

The Delahaye Racing pair of Ludovic Sougnez and Christian Kelders won the second race at Zolder after a close battle with Volvo.

The race one winning Kia wasn’t able to repeat the feat in race two, after a puncture on lap two saw Didier der Radigues slowly return the car to the pits losing a great deal of time.

The fight for the win was in the end between Delahaye Racing’s new charge Ludovic Sougnez and Volvo’s Vincent Radermecker. Radermecker had the lead, but after a three lap tussle, the Renault slipped through into the lead at the Jacky Icyx chicane and went on to take the victory by 10 seconds over Radermecker’s Volvo S60.

A last lap clash between the other two Delahaye Racing Méganes saw the No.5 car out of the race and down to a classification of sixth, giving one extra place to Steveny’s Kia Pro_Cee’d.

Steveny & de Radigues now go to the final round of the championship on October 22nd/23rd on 163 pts, whilst Christian Kelders is on 146.5 and Stéphane Lémeret & Eduoard Mondron are on 133.5.
