Steveny and de Radigues extend points lead with win

Kia Buy Way pairing Phillippe Stéveny & Didier de Radigues have extended their points lead in the Belgian Touring Car Series with a race one victory whilst rival Kelders retires.

The No.1 Delahaye Racing Renault Mégane was a serious threat to the pole sitting Kia, taking the lead and their pair pulling out a large gap to the field with the Renault in the hands of new driver Ludovic Sougnez. Sadly in the second part of the race it was forced to retire 12 laps from the end with brake problems.

This left the path clear for Stevey & de Radigues sixth win of the year by a winning margin of 1:07.998 in the 1hr30 race from the No.2 Renault of Delahaye Racing.

Alexandre Viron and Laurent Richard finished third in the third Delahaye Racing Mégane.

Werner van Herck took victory in the T3 class with fourth overall in his Mazda3.

A throttle sensor problem for the Neri Competition Volvo S60 saw Vincent Radermecker and Eric van de Poele finish down in eighth place, three laps down.
