Radermecker & van de Poele win Spa Race 1

Vincent Radermecker & Eric van de Poele have won the first race at Spa for the Volvo S60 Racing team, ahead of the Delahaye Renault of Frédéric Bouvy.

In the 1hr30 race, the Volvo S60 took the win, as the pole sitting Kia Pro_Cee’d of Koen Wauters retired on lap 28.

Radermecker and van de Poele crossed the line ahead of the Delahaye Racing Renault Mégane of Frédéric Bouvy and Christian Kelders by over 45 seconds, with the KS Motorsport BMW M3 of Steven Vanbelligen and Harrie Stoeltie in third.

The two other Kia’s of Chad Racing finished fourth and fifth, with the Iain Dockerill/Tom Ferrier combination leading Werner Moonens/Jerome Thiry.

The Volvo also has pole position for the second race, which will take place later today.
