Holdsworth on provisional pole at Gold Coast
Lee Holdsworth set a last minute flyer to claim provisional pole at the Gold Coast 600 ahead of Garth Tander, whilst FPR sit just behind them before the vital top ten shoot-out.
The thirty minute session was stopped three times for crashes and debris, the first of which saw the Lucas Dumbrell Racing car of Nathan Pretty & Scott Pruett out before setting a lap.
Jason Richards also caused a short stoppage after damaging his splitter hitting the tyre barrier, but it was BJR team-mate Jason Bright who suffered the most, breaking the rear axle without setting a competitive time and will start down in 28th with co-driver Alain Menu.
With the exception of Triple F racing, which let Gianni Morbidelli out early on to set a few laps, all of the drivers taking part in the qualifying were the series regulars.
