Jason Richards in hospital, will miss last two races
Brad Jones Racing driver Jason Richards has a tumour on his abdomen and will be undergoing emergency surgery this week. Andrew Jones will fill in for the last two rounds.
A statement from BJR confirms specialists are deciding the best course of action, and the tumor is expected to be removed early next week.
As a result, the 34 year old New Zealander will miss this weekend’s meeting at Sandown, and the season finale at Sydney.
Andrew Jones, who was Richards’ co-driver for the three endurance events will take over the No.8 Team BOC Holden Commodore VE.
