D’Alberto signs on new title sponsor
Tony D’Alberto Racing will take on the new identity of Wilson Security Racing this season.
Tony D’Alberto’s team will become the third team in three years to run as Wilson Security Racing, after Stone Brothers Racing third car last year and Paul Cruickshank’s team in 2009.
The team ran as Centaur Racing in 2010, and will re-brand as Wilson Security Racing for the 2011 season, with Tony D’Alberto racing the No.3 Commodore VE at Abu Dhabi.
The team will unveil its full livery for the second round of the championship at Adelaide, and according to Speedcafe, at that point will also switch to an ex-FPR Ford Falcon FG.
“Wilson Security has proven to be a fantastic supporter of Australian motor racing, especially in V8 Supercars, and I’m looking forward to driving the Wilson Security entry in 2011,” said D’Alberto.
“They (Wilson Security) are very big on backing emerging drivers, the young guys coming through the pack. This will be our second season with our own team, so we see ourselves as a growing operation with a view to building success and it’s good to have Wilson Security join us as a key partner in doing that,” he added.
