Liuzzi, Salo, Magnussen, Morbidelli joins Gold Coast race

Seven Formula One drivers have been confirmed to take part in the Armor All Gold Coast 600 race on the 21-23rd of October.

The list includes current Formula One driver Vitantonio Liuzzi and former F1 drivers Mika Salo, Jan Magnussen, Christian Klien, Sebastian Bourdais, Stephane Sarrazin and Gianni Morbidelli.

Liuzzi is going to take part in the race for Wilson Security Racing, co-driving with Tony D’Alberto.
“I had a good look at the TDR car when I was at the Australian Grand Prix earlier in the year and I was really impressed,” said Liuzzi.

Liuzzi currently takes part in the Formula One 2011 season for HRT but does not expect the change to the V8 Supercar to be difficult.
“I don’t think it will take me long to adapt to the car. The one-day testing before will be good. I have experience with powerful saloon cars and I really enjoy driving them. I see the V8 Supercars being very similar,” said Liuzzi.

25 of the 28 international drivers for the race has been announced. The list currently includes a vast number of international racing stars, including Jörg Bergmeister, Dirk Muller, Augusto Farfus, Andy Priaulx and many more.
