Scott McLaughlin takes first win in fourth Melbourne race

Scott McLaughlin claimed his first ever V8 Supercars victory in the fourth race of the weekend in Melbourne. The youngster finished ahead of Craig Lowndes and Fabian Coulthard, who secured overall weekend trophy thanks to his three victories from the weekend.

Coulthard headed the field early on from pole position, but made a mistake on lap five after his pitstop and dropped two positions.

David Reynolds finished fourth for The Bottle-O FPR Ford with Alex Davison, Jamie Whincup, Todd Kelly and Will Davison behind. Shane Van Gisbergen, who was excluded from his race three victory due (more here), crossed the line in ninth, with James Moffat in tenth.

Russell Ingall and Mark Winterbottom were victims of the first lap chaos, retiring on the spot.
