“We could have gone faster”, says pole man Jordan
A happy Andrew Jordan says he could have gone faster than the lap which netted him pole position for the British Touring Car Championship opener at Brands Hatch.
The Eurotech Racing driver set his best lap on his first qualifying run, before a flurry of snow and the resultant slippery track meant his time went unchallenged.
And while Jordan said his closest competitors could have also improved had the weather been better, he is confident he would have been able to match them.
Speaking to TouringCarTimes, Jordan said: “We might have had to go a bit faster, but we probably could have as well, so I’m pretty happy with that.
“That was a good first lap. Everyone in the pitlane could have gained a bit more, but it came down to that first run, and we were quickest after that first run.
“We have done a race run with a good setup and race times as well, so I’m looking forward to tomorrow. I obviously want to get a race win, and get three solid results.
“We have done a lot of testing and made really good progress with the car. The testing has paid dividends. Overnight we will have a look through the data and see what we need to do for the races.”
