Garry Rogers Motorsport loses main sponsor Fujitsu

Garry Rogers Motorsport has lost their main sponsor Fujitsu, as the company today announced not to renew the contract with the team for 2014.
“We’ve had a great relationship with GRM, what was initially a two year agreement signed in season 2010 was extended to four years which has resulted in a very commercially rewarding and enjoyable partnership, however given our changing commercial focus we’ve had to re-assess all of our sponsorship commitments going forward,” said Philip Perham of Fujitsu General (Aust) Pty Limited.

Garry Rogers Motorsport becomes Volvo Polestar Racing Australia next year, running two Volvo S60s for the Swedish manufacturer, a change team owner and founder Garry Rogers says is helping.
“Next year’s program has generated a lot of interest and we will now be following up all avenues so as to secure suitable commercial business partners to join the GRM team. In the meantime we still have Phillip Island and the Grand Final in Sydney to contest and we will be going all out for a big finish to the 2013 season,” said Rogers.

The team is scheduled to test tomorrow with Scott McLaughlin behind the wheel to solve electrical problems which hampered them in the previous V8 Supercars race.
