Jamie Whincup makes it two wins in two races at Hidden Valley
Jamie Whincup continues to dominate the V8 Supercars weekend at Hidden Valley by winning the second race ahead of Triple Eight Race Engineering team mate Craig Lowndes, just as in race one.
Whincup made a clean start from pole position and went into a lead he was never to lose, ultimately crossing the finishing line just over three seconds ahead of Lowndes.
Fabian Coulthard had a lonely race to finish third for Brad Jones Racing, with two seconds up to Lowndes in second place and over five seconds down to Garth Tander in fourth place.
Volvo Polestar Racing driver Scott McLaughlin came home in fifth position, being close to Tander but not being able to get past and at the same time having to defend from Mark Winterbottom towards the end of the race.
Championship leader Winterbottom lost a couple of positions in the start due to wheel spin, but fought his way back up to cross the finishing line in sixth position ahead of Shane van Gisbergen.
The V8 Supercars weekend at Hidden Valley continues tomorrow with the longer and final race of 200 kilometers.
