Oliver Gavin joins Nick Percat again for endurance season

Oliver Gavin will be back to partner Nick Percat for the three endurance rounds of this year’s V8 Supercars Championship, despite the 26-year-old’s move away from Walkinshaw Racing last year and to Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport for 2015.

Sports car racing expert Gavin, who partnered Percat to a podium finish at last year’s Bathurst 1000km, is thrilled to return for the endurance season, after stating last year that he’d want to be back to have a crack at the top step of the podium after a fantastic result in his first race at Mount Panorama.

“Nick and I had a great run at Bathurst and finishing on the podium was definitely a highlight of the year for me,” said Gavin. “Nick and I are a great combination; we work well together and are a strong mix of youth and experience, so I’m really looking forward to continuing what we started. Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport is also a great young team and its passion, energy and enthusiasm makes me really excited about the enduros.”

LDM main driver Nick Percat added:
“Oliver was the first and last driver on my list of who I wanted to drive with,” said Percat. “I was adamant on having Olly back because he showed great speed, is a quality driver and brings a wealth of international and endurance racing experience.”
