Audi and Honda hit by Balance of Performance
Just before wheels start turning in Sepang, Malaysia, for the first ever TCR Series race, the technical department has issued a bulletin to announce the first Balance of Performance measures.
As of Free Practice 1 Audi TT and Honda Civic will receive a penalty of 50 and 30 kilos respectively. This brings the minimum weight of the German cars up to 1310 kilos, while the JAS-built Hondas will weigh 1290 kilos. Seat Leòn, Ford Focus and Opel Astra cars remain to the base weight fixed by the regulations, which is 1260 kilos.
The minimum ride height for all cars remains unchanged to 80 millimetres, despite this being another parameter which can be used to equalize the performances of the cars.
As per regulations, the technical department is entitled to make further changes to the Balance of Performance during the weekend.
