National wins in Russia for the TCR SEAT León Racer

Lukoil Racing Team dominated the Russian Circuit Racing Series with three SEAT León Racers.

The Russian team took a 1-2-3 in qualifying, repeating the feat in Race 1 and Race 2. In the hands of local driver Rustam Akiniyazov one of the team’s León took pole position, ahead of team-mates Aleksey Dudukalo and Roman Golikov.

Dudukalo won both races on Sunday, leading Golikov and pole sitter Akiniyazov home in Race 1 and taking the honours for Race 2, ahead of his team-mates who swapped places from the first heat.

In the second race the team had to face the challenge of Vitaly Larionov’s BMW 320i S2000, who led for a long time, but finally had to surrender to the SEATS.

The RCRs will resume in Sochi, sharing the weekend with the TCR International Series.
