Stefano Comini hoping to catch elusive pole position

Stefano Comini is came fourth in Free Practice 2, one tenth behind leader Mikhail Grachev. The Target Competition driver is still looking for his maiden pole position.

“I really want that pole position, it’s about time I got to starting ahead of everyone,” said the championship leader to TouringCarTimes. “It’s certainly going to be a tight session, the top positions are really close and it’s going to be interesting.”

Speaking of his chances, the Swiss said: “I always go for pole position or for wins, that is out of the question. I don’t know what kind of tyres the others had, so to be honest it’s a little bit difficult to tell. What I can say is that the car feels quite good and we also solved some small gremlins which had affected me this morning. There is still a bit of work to do, but overall I am confident.”

The Swiss had topped this morning’s session, clocking almost the same lap time as he did later on in FP2.
