WCR boss concerned with Honda pace in Austria
WestCoast Racing team owner Greger Petersson is concerned with the Honda Civic TCR’s pace at the Red Bull Ring. The Swede believes that the gap seen in Free Practice 1, almost 1.4 seconds, is too big to close.
“It is still quite early to judge because we’ve only seen the first Free Practice,” said Petersson to TouringCarTimes. “However, we are worried, because the gap from the front is considerable.”
The concerns over the performances will not stop the team from doing as much as possible to turn things around: “While it is worrying, it is also motivating us. We want to keep fighting, there is a lot of hard work ahead of us, but we’re not scared to do it.
We are surely not going to give up until the fat lady has sung, we are all sportsmen and that’s what we love.”
The TCR International Series goes back on track at 13.00 local time for the second Free Practice session.
