Pepe Oriola continues strong Singapore form
Pepe Oriola confirmed his form in Free Practce 2, after setting the pace earlier this morning. The Spaniard took his Craft-Bamboo Lukoil SEAT León into the lead early in the session, with a lap time 1.5s quicker than this morning.
Behind the spaniard WestCoast Racing’s Gianni Morbidelli was the closest challenger in his Honda Civic, with Stefano Comini a blink of an eye slower in his Target Competition SEAT.
Jordi Gené finished fourth for Craft-Bamboo Lukoil, ahead of Kevin Gleason’s Honda and a positively improving Mikhail Grachev in sixth in his Liqui Moly Team Engstler Volkswagen Golf. Sergey Afanasyev, who had been part of this morning’s Craft-Bamboo Lukoil 1-2, slipped down to seventh ahead of Liqui Moly Team Engstler’s Lorenzo Veglia in his SEAT León.
René Münnich and Loris Hezemans completed the top ten while top TCR Asia Series driver Michael Choi was 14th outright in his Prince Racing Honda Civic.
Luca Rangoni once again failed to make it to the track in his new Subaru.
