Stefano Comini disappointed for lost victory

Stefano Comini had a considerable margin over the opposition when an electrical glitch cost him enough time to let WestCoast Racing’s Kevin Gleason through.

The Swiss was disappointed for the chance he lost: “I don’t know what happened, it was a perfect race until a problem happened and it became a disaster,” said the Target Competition driver. “I had some kind of electrical problem on the car and had to perform a reset, which cost me the lead.”

Despite the issue, Comini still leads the championship: “I am obviously disappointed, but second is not too bad for the championship, so I’ll take the good side of it.”

Comini’s lead is now up to eight points from former leader Pepe Oriola.
