James Moffat to leave Nissan after 2015 for new manufacturer

Nissan Motorsport has confirmed that James Moffat will leave the team after the 2015 V8 Supercars season.

“We thank James for his efforts over the past three seasons. Since joining Nissan Motorsport at the start of the 2013 season, James has achieved the best results of his V8 Supercars career. The team and James are both committed to working together to achieve the best possible results at the final four events of this season,” said team manager Todd Kelly.

Moffat secured Nissan’s first V8 Supercars victory and a Bathurst 1000 podium last year and is currently placed 18th in the drivers’ championship.

There has been no information released so far on Moffat’s whereabouts in 2016, but rumours have suggested Volvo Polestar Racing alongside Scott McLaughlin according to speedcafe.com.
