Alain Menu slightly disappointed after qualifying
Despite having suffered from several setbacks, including a gearbox issue which prevented the Top Run team to do any proper running in Free Practice 2, Alain Menu is not too disappointed with the outcome of Qualifying at Buriram, Thailand.
“Yes, I am obviously a bit disappointed,” confessed the Swiss to TouringCarTimes. “However, with all the problems we’ve had and the limited running we had today, the result is quite good. I only did one proper lap in qualifying, I could have done with more track time of course, but it could have been worse.”
Considering the circumstances, Menu thinks the car will be more competitive come tomorrow: “I think we will have some fun tomorrow, as long as we don’t have any big problems. The car has a lot of potential, but we need time to extract it!”
Menu will start both races from 15th tomorrow.
