Jordi Gené knows Qualifying will be close

Jordi Gené was fastest again in this morning’s Free Practice 2, after topping the Testing session as well in Buriram, Thailand. The Spaniard is not getting carried away by his momentum, though, as the gaps are very narrow.

Everything is going quite well since the start of the weekend and the car feels good,” admitted the Craft-Bamboo Lukoil driver. “Anyway, like I said yesterday, the gaps are getting narrower session after session. The top guys are now within half-a-second, which means that we are seeing our advantage reduced. Qualifying will be close, as always.”

Gianni Morbidelli looks a serious pole position contender, as the Honda driver is still the only man to break the 1’44 barrier.
