Stefano Comini plagued by car problems

Championship leader Stefano Comini barely made it into the top ten in this morning’s Free Practice session in Buriram, Thailand. The Swiss has a few issues with the car, something he is working on flat out with his Target Competition team.

“I had a broken shock absorber,” revealed Comini to TouringCarTimes. “However that was not the biggest problem. Like yesterday, I still feel the car is tired and it won’t accelerate in a normal way. We are investigating this problem and we will try to solve it before Free Practice 2.”

Despite the problems, the Swiss has not lost his confidence: “We must solve this problem, it has happened before that we’ve had problems in Free Practice and then bounced back. I’m sure the team will find the problem and therefore the solution to the situation.”

Comini currently leads the championship with an eleven-points margin over Craft-Bamboo Lukoil’s Pepe Oriola.
