Lorenzo Veglia pleased with two good results

Lorenzo Veglia came seventh in Race 1 and fifth in Race 2 after two tough fights with Liqui Moly Team Engstler team-mate Tomas Engstrom and Craft-Bamboo Lukoil’s Sergey Afanasyev respectively. The SEAT driver was happy after the two races.

“I had two bad starts,” admitted the Italian to TouringCarTimes. “I’ve had pretty good starts all year, so it’s a shame I made two mistakes today. I tried to resist to the Craft-Bamboo Lukoil cars, but only managed to keep Afanasyev behind. It was good fun, though.”

While the first race battle with Engstrom was cleaner, the second was much tougher: “With Tomas it was hard but fair, whereas with Afanasyev he overtook me a couple of times and I had to force my way back past him. I think it was still within the rules, but I did take a few risks.”

Lorenzo Veglia, who skipped the Sochi round this year, will also be in Macau for the season finale.
