Rafaël Galiana’s weekend already over, Josh Files’ also at risk

Rafaël Galiana’s debut at the Circuito da Guia was brought to a premature end when the Frenchman crashed at the R bend in today’s Free Practice session in Macau.

The Target Competition SEAT León driver crashed heavily into the barriers head-on, which bent the chassis and forced the Italian team to cover over the wrecked car and call it a day, reducing their programme at Macau to a still considerable five cars, with Jordi Oriola, Andrea Belicchi, Guillaume Cunnington, Francisco Mora and points leader Stefano Comini’s cars to run.

There was also disaster for Britain’s Josh Files, who crashed his Opel Astra OPC into the barriers at the fastest corner on the calendar, Mandarin. The crash ripped off his right-rear suspension as well as damaging the rear wing.

The Spanish team are uncertain as of now whether the Brit can continue his weekend or not at this point.
