Volvo unveil colours for 2016 V8 Supercars

Volvo has unveiled its colours for the 2016 V8 Supercars Championship at a launch in the facilities of Garry Rogers Motorsport.
“The cars look great, something a bit different for everyone – I think they’ll like that,” said McLaughlin to v8supercars.com.au.

“It’s a bit different to what we’ve had, the colours have been changed around a bit. It’s definitely got that Volvo blue on it, but there are a few other things they’ve added to it that are pretty cool and change it up a bit.”

The team will field a pair of S60 race cars, just as the past two years, but with James Moffat replacing David Wall in the #34 car alongside Scott McLaughlin.

McLaughlin had a tough season last year, falling from fifth in the championship in 2014 to eighth in 2015. The Kiwi is keen to improve his year.

“I’m sure it’ll all come together pretty quickly but it’s good to have a fresh start, new livery, new suit – everything’s new, so it’s pretty cool,” said McLaughlin.

The team will head to Winton Motor Raceway next week for their first test of 2016.
