Kevin Gleason excited ahead of Bahrain curtain raiser

Kevin Gleason returns to the TCR International Series for his sophomore year at the wheel of a WestCoast Racing Honda Civic TCR.

The American’s performances were a revelation last year, but the driver is now determined to make his experience count and improve on last year’s performances: “I’m really excited to be racing in the Middle East for the first time and in support of the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix,” said Gleason. “To be back with WestCoast Racing is fantastic and I’m hoping to not only emulate my TCR debut from last year, but improve on it by converting pole position into a podium finish.”

Gleason will ask more from himself and also looks more determined as he seeks improvements in his racecraft as well: “My skills in a touring car have more than a season’s development now, so I won’t be quite as generous to my competitors as I once was.”

Gleason will be partnered again by former Grand Prix driver Gianni Morbidelli, with young Finn Aku Pellinen completing the WestCoast Racing line-up.
