Luigi Ferrara cherishes important track time
Luigi Ferrara had his first outing in the Top Run Subaru WRX STi TCR in anger. The Italian driver was well off the pace in 14th, but the track time available was useful for the team to gather precious data.
“It was good to be able to do many laps and collect very useful data,” said Ferrara. “It’s my first time here and with a front-wheel drive car, so it’s important to be on the track as long as possible.”
The early feelings with the car seem to be positive for the driver from Apulia, although there is obviously room for improvements: “Clearly, we have a lot of margin for improvement with regard to set-up but the first feeling is good.”
The former Superstars Series race winner will focus on set-up work in the second Free Practice session, which is due at 16.50 local time.
