James Nash delighted with ‘excellent result’
James Nash made his touring car comeback after two years of absence and immediately put his SEAT León on the podium, claiming third for Craft-Bamboo Lukoil.
The Brit is happy with the level he is at already, despite being still busy getting to grips with the car: “It’s definitely a good result for the team and also for me,” said Nash. “My race was good and it’s nice to be immediately competitive on my return to touring car racing.”
The Craft-Bamboo Lukoil driver concedes he and team-mate Pepe Oriola may have fought a bit too hard at the start of the race: “Maybe we fought a little bit too hard with Pepe (Oriola), but the important thing is that we brought home an excellent result. I really look forward to this championship and to working with my team.”
Nash will start eighth for tomorrow’s race, alongside Gianni Morbidelli’s Honda Civic TCR
