Jordi Oriola cherishes trouble-free Qualifying

Jordi Oriola made it to the second segment of Qualifying, only to be classified 12th for both races. Despite the disappointment for the Spaniard, who was looking for a tenth place in order to take advantage of the reversed grid, the teenager looks at the bright side of things.

“The good news is that for the first time this weekend we had trouble-free sessions,” said Oriola. “Both Andrea (Belicchi) and I could complete the sessions.”

While Oriola is happy with how quick he was compared to his team-mate, he knows the battle is yet to start: “I was a little bit faster than him (Belicchi), so I guess it’s OK. The real work starts now.”

Jordi Oriola made his debut in the TCR International Series last year, and is in his first full season with Target Competition’s Opel Astra TCR.
