Dusan Borkovic optimistic after good debut weekend in Bahrain
Dusan Borkovic had a weekend of mixed fortune in Bahrain. Although the B3 Racing driver was in a good starting position in the first race, in the end the best result came from the second heat, as with WestCoast Racing’s Aku Pellinen penalized, Borkovic ended up in third.
“Although I was not in the best mood after Race 1 because of the problems at the start, when I sum everything up this was a great weekend and it looks like it is going to be a very exciting season,” said the Serbian. “It is really important for me that I scored points in qualifying and both races.”
The focus will now shift to preparations for Estoril, the second event of the year: “I am sad I didn’t get a better score in Race 1 but we have a lot of work ahead of us and we are preparing for the next event in Portugal.”
The weekend has left the Serbian optimistic as he heads into his first TCR International Series season: “I am very satisfied with the 3rd position in overall standings as that will give me even more incentive to fight for the top. It is a long championship.”
