Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR to skip Spa-Francorchamps

Mulsanne Racing driver Michela Cerruti announced on her social media profiles the team will skip the Spa-Francochamps round of the TCR International Series in order to focus on testing.

Despite steady progress, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR still suffers from a lack of competitiveness, but the driver says the problems can be solved given enough time.

“We know where the problems are, and of course we can solve them,” said Cerruti. “To do that we need time and tracktime. Together with all the team, we decided to miss the next race in Spa, in order to come back more competitive to the next races of the season.”

Luca Rangoni will be busy in Zandvoort with other commitments and so will be unavailable for Spa, whilst it’s also been rumoured that Top Run could elect to skip the Belgian round of the championship entirely in order to focus on testing.
