Kevin Gleason on top in FP2 at Spa-Francorchamps

WestCoast Racing driver Kevin Gleason was fastest in the second free practice session at Spa-Francorchamps, with the American putting in a late flyer to finish the session just under a tenth of a second ahead of the SEAT León TCR of Pepe Oriola, driving for Craft-Bamboo Lukol.

Gleason set his flying lap with just under a minute to spare in the 30-minute session, topping Oriola’s SEAT with a time of 2:34.839, with Gleason and Oriola the only drivers to lap under 2:35 in the afternoon’s practice session.

Two of B3 Racing’s SEATs were next up, with Serbian driver Dusan Borkovic third, three-tenths faster than his Hungarian team-mate Attila Tassi.

The fastest of the Volkswagens was Jean-Karl Vernay, with the Leopard Racing driver setting the fifth fastest time in his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.

Championship contender James Nash was next up in his Craft-Bamboo SEAT, with the other B3 SEAT of Mat’o Homola the only driver within a second of Gleason’s time in seventh.

The two Peugeot 308s of Jimmy Clairet and Grégory Guilvert were down in 16th and 17th positions, around three seconds off of the pace.

Next up in qualifying which takes place at 13:40 CET on Friday.
