James Nash demoted to 11th due to track limits infringement
Craft-Bamboo Lukoil’s James Nash was demoted to 11th from ninth due to a track limits infringement. The Brit will therefore start on the sixth row for both of today’s races in Imola.
Nash effectively loses his best lap, with his second best only good enough for 11th and last in Q2, as B3 Racing’s Dusan Borkovic had no timed lap recorded. The Serbian’s sole timed lap was also disallowed, also due to track limits infringements.
The penalty means B3 Racing’s Attila Tassi inherits pole position for the second race, with original Race 2 pole sitter Jordi Gené starting alongside him on the front row in the Liqui Moly Team Engstler Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.
