Dusan Borkovic critical of Race 1 penalty in Russia

Dusan Borkovic received a time penalty after the first race at Sochi, Russia, losing fifth and dropping out of the points.

The Serbian is disappointed with the stewards’ decision, and admits B3 Racing didn’t find the SEAT León TCR’s sweet spot all weekend: “I don’t want to comment on the penalty because I know I didn’t deserve it. I am really disappointed,” said Borkovic. “I had good pace considering the ballast, we didn’t have the perfect setup but the team still did a great job. I would like to congratulate my team-mate Attila Tassi for his first TCR podium.”

The Serbian feared a puncture due to the heat and the ballast: “In this high temperatures and with the extra weight the tyres are under a lot of stress and I’m happy with my pace and, most of all, because I finished both races without punctures. I have to move on now, I will use the break to prepare for the rest of the season.”
