Cameron McConville will make Supercars return at Darwin

Experienced Supercars driver Cameron McConville will make his return to the championship for Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport (LDM) at Darwin on June 18th.

The 43-year-old last took part in the endurance races of the 2012 season and had his last full-time drive in 2009.

“I always enjoy racing in Darwin, as every driver does, so when Lucas (Dumbrell) and Phil Munday asked me to jump in it wasn’t a big arm twist to be honest,” said McConville.

“I haven’t driven a Supercar since the Gold Coast, so I’m very realistic about my goal for the weekend. My plan is to dial back in during practice and provide some mentoring to Alex (Rullo, team-mate) and finish all of the races.”

McConville is going to drive the #3 Holden Commodore of LDM, driven by Taz Douglas and Matthew Brabham earlier this season.
