Roberto Colciago fined for improving under yellow flags in FP2

M1RA’s Roberto Colciago has been fined 1,000 EUR by the stewards at the Salzburgring, after the Italian was deemed guilty of improving his lap time in the second free practice session while yellow flags were deployed for the stricken SEAT of Stian Paulsen.

Colciago finished the session sixth, just over two-tenths behind Comtoyou Audi driver Stefano Comini, but was summoned to the stewards after the session about his transgression.

The Italian, second in the standings and competing with the maximum ballast of 30kg this weekend, is already due to serve a penalty this weekend. Colciago will have a five-place grid drop in Race 1 due to an incident at the last meeting at Monza involving Comtoyou’s Fred Vervisch and DG Sport Compétition Opel driver Mat’o Homola.
