Erebus Motorsport confirm new Holden Commodore for 2018

Erebus Motorsport has confirmed to run the new ZB model Holden Commodore for the 2018 Supercars Championship.

“We’ve committed to running both cars as the new model in 2018,” said Barry Ryan, Erebus Motorsport General Manager, to Supercars.com.

“Part of that is a commercial decision. It’s harder to sell to a sponsor if you’re running an old model.

The team has already started building the new chassis that will keep the V8 engine for next year, with a full introduction of the new V6 turbo engine in 2019.

“We’ve got a chassis already partially built that we’re in the very early stages of turning into a new car. Once that’s done, we’ll start on another straight away, but the timing might dictate that we re-body Dave (Reynolds)’s current car and run that for the start of the season,” said Ryan.
