Fredrik Blomstedt will not return for the 2018 STCC season

Fredrik Blomstedt who finished fourth overall last year for Kristoffersson Motorsport will not return for the 2018 Scandinavian Touring Car Championship season.

The 26-year-old will instead head for Germany and the compete in the new Audi Sport Abt TT Cup for the 2018 season.

”I feel a strong motivation to head out in Europe again. I had a successful season home in Sweden and the STCC last year and I felt comfortable, but I feel that I want give it a shot abroad,” said Blomstedt.

Blomstedt made an impressive debut STCC season last year, finishing fourth overall with two victories and a total of eight podium finishes.
